  3. SQZGIF converts LARGE full screen GIF pictures such as 320x400x256 (Amiga),
  4. 640x400x256 (MACII) and 800x600x256 (SuperVGA) and "squeezes" it down to
  5. 320x200x256 in .BLD & .PLT format for:
  6.  
  7.     * image processing/editing in VGACAD
  8.     * conversion to EGA in VGA2EGA
  9.     * printing in GIFDOT
  10.     * desktop publishing with GIFPUB
  11.     * reconversion to a smaller GIF in BLD2GIF
  12.     * bloading in BASIC or QuickBASIC
  13.  
  14. SQZGIF use both interpolation and color averaging methods to render
  15. converted pictures as close as possible to the original image seen on
  16. the originating machine without "noise" or patterns.
  17.
